This Privacy Policy applies to the Rocket Stores website, www.rocketstores.com, and our mobile application (collectively, the “Site”) owned and operated by APRO, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) and governs our data collection and usage. By using the Site, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of your Personal Information:

We may collect personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number when you contact us with an inquiry and your ZIP code or other location information if you submit it to search for a nearby store.  We may collect information about you, your employment and educational history, references, and other job application information if you choose to submit it through our Careers page.

We may also automatically collect and log information about your computer hardware and software which may include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses.  We use this information for the operation of the Site and our services, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Site.

Use of your Personal Information:

We use the collected personal information to operate our Site, to deliver the services or information you have requested, and to respond to your inquiries or job applications. We also may use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from us and our affiliates or third parties.  We may also use your contact information to contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or potential new services that may be offered.

We do not sell, rent or lease our customer lists to third parties. We may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you.  In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party.

Accessing your information and your choices.

You can update, amend or delete your information at any time by submitting a request to customerservice@rocketstores.com.

You can choose not to receive emails from us by “unsubscribing” using the instructions in any email you receive from us.  This will not stop us from sending emails about your account or your transactions with us. 

You can choose to delete or block cookies by setting your browser to either reject all cookies or to allow cookies only from selected sites.  If you block cookies performance of the Site may be impaired and certain features may not function at all. 

Sharing your information.

We may reveal information about you to unaffiliated third parties: (1) if you request or authorize it; (2) if the information is provided to help complete a transaction for you; (3) if the information is provided to comply with the law, applicable regulations, governmental and quasi-governmental requests, court orders or subpoenas, to enforce our Terms of Use or other agreements, or to protect our rights, property or safety or the rights, property or safety of our users or others (e.g., to a consumer reporting agency for fraud protection etc.); (4) if the disclosure is done as part of a purchase, transfer or sale of services or assets (e.g., in the event that substantially all of our assets are acquired by another party, customer information may be one of the transferred assets); (5) if the information is provided to our agents, outside vendors or service providers solely to perform functions on our behalf (e.g., analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, providing customer service, processing orders, etc.) and not for their own commercial use; or (6) as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.

We may share your information with our affiliated companies.  We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes.  We may disclose non-private, aggregated or otherwise de-identified information, such as usage statistics to our affiliates and third parties.

Use of Cookies and Do Not Track Technology:

We use “cookies” and similar technologies to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer.  

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time.  We use cookies to collect aggregate (non-personal) information about Site usage by all of our visitors and to help us remember you and your preferences when you revisit the Site. These cookies may stay on your browser into the future until they expire or until you delete them. For example, if you personalize a page on the Site, or register on our Site or subscribe to our services, a cookie helps us recall your specific information on subsequent visits.  This simplifies the process of recording your personal information.  We also use technology to remember the pages of the Site you have visited.  These cookies usually are erased when you close your browser window.  Further general information about cookies and how they work is available at www.allaboutcookies.org.

We may also permit third party service providers to place cookies through our Site to perform analytic or marketing functions where you are notified of them and you have consented to the usage.   We do not control the use of such third party cookies or the resulting information and we are not responsible for any actions or policies of such third parties.

We do not currently use technology that recognizes a “do-not-track” signal from your web browser. 

Security of your Personal Information:

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and physical measures to protect information contained in our system from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.   If and when personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to our Site, it is protected through the use of encryption protocols, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We may permit others to link to this Site or to post a link to their site on ours.  We do not endorse these sites and are not responsible for other sites or their privacy practices.   Please read their privacy policies before submitting information.

Your California Privacy Rights.

California residents are permitted by California law to request information about the manner in which we share certain categories of information with others for their marketing purposes. We do not share your information with third parties for their direct marketing use.

California Consumer Privacy Act.

Verified California residents have the right to:

  • request and receive disclosure of our Information Collection Practices during the prior 12 months, including the categories of personal information we collect, the categories of sources of such information, our business purpose for collecting or sharing such information, and the categories of third parties with whom we share such information.
  • request and receive disclosure of our Information Sharing Practices during the prior 12 months, including a list of the categories of personal information sold with the category of third party recipients and a list of the categories of personal information that we disclosed for a business purpose.
  • request and receive a copy of the specific personal information we have collected about them during the prior 12 months.
  • request that we not sell personal information about them and

For purposes of the CCPA personal information means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular California resident or household.

The CCPA rights described above do not apply to information collected in the employment context about our current, former or prospective employees or contractors (who receive separate disclosures under the CCPA) or to information collected about California business contacts (employees, owners, directors, officers, or contractors of companies, sole proprietorships, and other entities collected in the context of conducting due diligence regarding, or providing or receiving a product or service to or from, such companies, sole proprietorships, or entities).  California business contacts have the right to tell us not to sell their information; please see below for how to exercise this right.

In order to make a request for disclosure California residents may contact us by calling 844-586-4833 (toll free), or by emailing us at customerservice@rocketstores.com with your name, address, email address, and phone number.  We will ask you for information that allows us to reasonably verify your identity (that you are the person about whom we collected personal information) and will use that information only for that purpose. We may request that you submit a signed statement under penalty of perjury that you are the individual you claim to be.  We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 days and will endeavor to respond within forty-five days of receipt of your request, but if we require more time (up to an additional forty-five days) we will notify you of our need for additional time. For requests that we not sell your information we will comply with your request within 15 business days. We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity and confirm that the personal information relates to you.

You may make a request for disclosure of our Information Collection Practices, the specific information we collected about you, or our Information Sharing Practices up to twice within a 12-month period.  You may make a request that we not sell information or for deletion of your information at any time.

For requests for a copy of the personal information we have collected during the 12 months prior to your request we will endeavor to provide the information in a format that is readily useable, including by mailing you a paper copy or providing an electronic copy to your registered account, if you have registered an account with us.

For requests for deletion of your information please understand that California law permits us to retain certain information and not to delete it under certain circumstances.  By way of example, we are not required to comply with a request to delete information if the information is necessary for us to complete a transaction for you or otherwise perform a contract; to detect, protect against, or prosecute security incidents, fraud or illegal activity; to use the information only internally in ways reasonably aligned with your expectations as our customer (such as maintaining sales records), and to comply with legal obligations. If we receive such a request from you, we will notify any service providers we have engaged to delete your information as well.

We will not discriminate against you as a result of your exercise of any of these rights. 

Selling Information.  We do not sell your information for monetary consideration, but we may transfer your information to a third party that provides us with services such as helping us with advertising, data analysis and security, which may fall under the definition of for “other valuable consideration” which may be considered a ‘sale’ under the CCPA. During the past 12 months, we disclosed first and last name, postal address, email address, and phone number with third parties such as advertising and analytics providers for a business purpose which falls within the definition of a ‘sale’.  If you are a California resident over the age of 16 and would like to instruct us not to sell your personal information, please write to us at Rocket Stores, 4130 Cover St., Long Beach, CA 90808, or send us an email at customerservice@rocketstores.com with “California Do Not Sell” in the subject line, with your name, postal address, and telephone number.  We do not sell personal information of individuals we actually know are less than 16 years of age. Once we receive your Do-Not-Sell request we will wait at least 12 months before asking you to reauthorize personal information sales.

Using an Authorized Agent.  You may submit a request through someone holding a formal Power of Attorney.  Otherwise, you may submit a request using an authorized agent only if (1) the person is registered with the Secretary of State to do business in California, (2) you provide the authorized agent with signed written permission to make a request, (3) you verify directly with us that you have authorize the person to make the request on your behalf, (4) you verify your own identity directly with us and (5) your agent provides us with proof that they are so authorized.  We will require the agent to submit proof to us that they have been authorized to make requests on your behalf.

We will occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect company and customer feedback. The Policy in effect at the time you use the Site governs how we may use your information.  If we make material changes, we will post the revised Policy and the revised effective date on this Site. We encourage you to periodically review this Policy to be informed as to how we are collecting, using, and protecting your information.
